Jieun Cheon (b. 1995, South Korea) is a New York–based multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, sculpture, painting, printmaking, and installation. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts (2025) and BFA and MFA degrees in Sculpture from Seoul National University. Her ongoing project, Uncanished Workld (uncanny world + unfinished work), constructs a fictional world through multiple media, exploring how belief systems, mythology, architecture, and imagery shape human perception and the construction of meaning.

Cheon’s recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition, Origami Hermit Crab: Order to Labyrinth, at ArtCake (2026), as well as exhibitions at NARS Foundation, A.I.R. Gallery, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Asian Art Contemporary, Kunstraum, and Paris Koh Fine Arts. She has participated in residencies at NARS Foundation, Kunstraum, and ArtCake and will attend Vermont Studio Center in 2026 with a partial fellowship. Her recent recognitions include a Gold Award from Rexhibit and the SVA Fine Arts Alumni Grant. Her work and practice have been featured in Impulse Magazine, Asian American Art Review, Asian Art Contemporary, and Suboart Magazine.
